San Francisco Building : Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939, Treasure Island photograph album, 1903-1904.

The leather bound album contains 53 gelatin silver prints of views of the exterior and interior of the San Francisco Building on Treasure Island at the Golden Gate International Exposition. The album includes photographs of the murals by Jane Berlandina and Ernest Born and a sculpture by Cecelia Graham and Robert Howard. The photographs document exhibits by the California School of Fine Arts, the San Francisco Board of Education, and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission as well as the Story of San Francisco portrayed in dioramas. Mayor Angelo Rossi poses in the Mayor's Office in the San Francisco Building. The San Francisco Building was part of a series of California county buildings under the sponsorship and management of the California Commission and located on the southeastern side of the island in the Court of the Nation. Timothy Pflueger was the chief architect supervising the design of the series. The exposition was held from February 18 to October 29, 1939. A second exposition was held on the site from May 25 to September 29, 1940.

Gabriel Moulin was a San Francisco photographer who documented 20th century San Francisco. Moulin originally worked for Isaac Taber and R.J. Waters until he began Moulin Studios. Moulin was one of the official photographers of the Golden Gate International Exposition.
